Today we received our first of the new Ray-Ban Tech Collection. They are “designed with innovative materials and techniques” and “reflect Ray-Ban’s celebrated history of leading with style and technology.” For example the RB 8306 (pictured) is made out of Carbon Fibre and has polarised brown lenses for reduced glare.
The Carbon fibre sheet, made of seven layers and bonded with resin is water-cut for accuracy. While light and strong, carbon fibre frames are also flexible, comfortable and highly resistant.
We often feel we look sophisticated in sunglasses and we might find they also help us enjoy bright sunshine, but quality sunglasses can actually help maintain healthy eyesight.
Light contains ultraviolet (UV) radiation and while it’s invisible, its affects certainly aren’t. Apart from accelerating the ageing of our skin, it has the same effect on our eyes, particularly the crystalline lens within. UV can cause cataract, which turns our eye’s lens a near-opaque milky white. The only solution is to surgically remove the lens and replace it with a plastic lens implant. UV is also known to be a contributing factor in macular degeneration.
Whether you love skiing or snowboarding, cycling or golf you will have no doubt bumped into someone who owns or is wearing a pair of Oakley Sunglasses.
We have been an Official Oakley Dealer for many years now and always have a wide selection of current styles in stock. However, if we don’t have what you want, we will order it direct from Oakley for you.
